Demilec, the world leader in open cell spray foam insulation is proud to announce the launch of its new range of products to the UK market.

Suitable for the insulation of new build and retrofit works, open cell foams provide insulation and air-seal in a single application and offer the most practical and cost effective method of conforming with part L of the building regulations. Independent studies have shown that buildings insulated with Demilec foam regularly achieve an air tightness rating of less than 1.30m3/h.m2and a thermal bridging figure of 0.03W/m2K.

Unlike traditional closed cell spray foam insulation, our products are open cell in nature, meaning that they can be used in applications which require the building’s envelope to “breathe”, such as timber frame walls and against breather membranes in roofs.

Demilec foams offer the fastest and most thorough method of insulating todays buildings.

Sealection 500  is a ½lb polyurethane foam insulation which has a declared lambda value of 0.036 W/mK

Sealection Agribalance is made from the same formula as Sealection 500, but has the added ecological credibility of being manufactured using 10% renewable bio-based content and an improved lambda value of 0.032W/mK.

Demilec are also manufacturers of high quality 2lb closed cell foam which may be used for insulation/repair of naked roofs, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications.

Heatlok Soyis a closed cell 2lb foam made using soy beans and recycled bottles, which is an approved vapour barrier and has a lambda value of 0.022W/mK.

Heatlok Soy-200 is the newest additionto the Demilec family of foams. With an improved lambda value of 0.02W/mK, it is the premium quality medium density foam insulation product in the UK.

NEWS RELEASE
Spray-foam insulation manufacturer Demilec USA LLC of Arlington has bought a 224,000-square-foot building where it will expand an environmentally friendly product line and add as many as 55 employees over the next two years.

Demilec currently employs 95 people in two buildings totaling about 50,000 square feet at 2925 and 2901 Galleria Drive in Arlington, said Dave Lall, general manager and vice president. The company will add 40 to 55 jobs over the next couple of years, including manufacturing positions, engineers and technicians.
Demilec has purchased the former Siemens Dematic manufacturing/distribution facility at 3315 E. Division Street nearby. The purchase price was not disclosed. The building and 16.4 acres of land are appraised at about $2.3 million, according to the Tarrant Appraisal District.
The company initially will put $5 million worth of building improvements and equipment into the facility and then another $5 million or so within two years, Lall said. Demilec will keep its existing facilities and operate out of them also.
The new building will allow Demilec to boost production to handle product demand, which has grown by 40 percent annually for the past two years in terms of pounds of insulation sold, Lall said. He said he expects demand to grow at an even faster rate as the economy improves and recognition of the importance of environmentally friendlier products increases, he said.
The privately held company does not disclose its revenue or specifics about sales.
“We are seeing substantial demand growth in a down economy, and we’re waiting to see what it’s going to be when this economy turns around,” Lall said. “That’s why we bought such a big building. We’re gearing up for it.”
Demilec makes spray-foam insulation for residential and commercial buildings. It sells to contractors that it trains and certifies throughout the United States. Its fastest-growing product lines, Sealection Agribalance and Heatlock Soy, were launched in February 2008 and are made of recycled plastic materials and renewable soy oils that replace traditional petrochemical-based agents.
